Exploring Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Artists

If you find yourself asking the question what is the Exploring Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Artist Series? then I would love for you to take a look at my Exploring Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Artist FREE Introduction Pack to see what the series is all about. To summarize, this series is a brand new monthly series Exploring Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Artists that you will only find here on Enchanted Homeschooling Mom. If you are a fan of Hallmark, which I feel safe in assuming you are since you are reading this page, then you are probably like me. I cannot wait for the new Christmas Keepsake Ornaments to arrive into the Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Dream Book, in my local Hallmark Store, or online each year. You see, I like many other people, have grown up with Hallmark being involved in many of my special family memories and traditions. I even now find that my Daughter Elizabeth loves the new Keepsake Ornaments too!

For longer than I care to admit I have had this idea floating around in my head to take the artists behind Hallmark’s Keepsake Ornaments and turn them into a fun engaging lesson for children. You might ask why? Well, while I am a homeschooling mom of 2 of the best kids in the world, if I do say so myself, I firmly believe that all children should have a passion for learning. While some topics or subjects may come more naturally to one child and not to others that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have to be fun too. And if you can come up with something out of the box that a child can not only connect to, but can also walk away with a head full of new knowledge and facts is truly the key to engaging that child in their lessons and education.

If you ask a child to name an artist the typical response will be one of the more well noted and taught artists of the past or present. Most people would not stop to think about the artwork and creativity that goes into creating each Hallmark Keepsake Ornament that you see each year. My son struggles with art in general and for him, basic artist facts and information are easy for him to soak up like a sponge, but when it actually comes to enjoying the lessons and becoming engaged, that is when he struggles. On the flip side of our learning adventure, my daughter is about as artsy and craftsy as they come and joins me in almost every single project I do, as well as creates her own. This polar opposite affect can make learning art a wee bit challenging in our house. So, I try my best to make it fun and engaging for both of them at the same time.

As a mom, educator, and general out of the box type thinker I started jotting down some ideas. Then, one cold afternoon last winter it hit me as I watched my children flip through their Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Dream Book and talk about the ornaments in great detail. It dawned on me that both of my children love looking at the ornaments at our local Hallmark store or in our Dream Book. Why not take the approach I always have, as unconventional as it may seem, and create artist themed studies centered on the Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Artists and study them year round! Especially since the Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Club features one artist each month HERE.

So, as fast as a Hallmark Elf, I quickly started mapping out my thoughts, expanding my ideas, and putting things together to share with all of you. Once I gathered all of my thoughts together, I went directly to Hallmark and could not be more thrilled when they agreed to allow me to share with all of you this new FREE Exploring Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Artists series with their expressed permission. Falling in line with their motto of “Think.Make.Share.” I have thought really hard about this series, poured tons of heart and thought into making it, and now wish to share it all with you for FREE
