I have been running my site and business Enchanted Homeschooling Mom at full pace since shortly after opening the doors in March of 2011. Over the years I have gotten to know so many of you that read my site, as well as have had the absolute privilege of working on projects and articles with some of the most talented people on the internet. It is with a very heavy heart that I must let you all know that things in my life, as of this past week, have taken a very drastic change.

A Slow Down Here at Enchanted Homeschooling Mom

Some of you may already know that I have suffered from chronic kidney problems and daily pain for over 10 years now. I have had too many surgeries, procedures, medicine, doctor’s appointments, lab tests, scans, to even begin to count. However; this past week has been even worse than normal. After going to get more test results recently, I learned that I will be having a large battery of procedures and surgeries that will be spread out over the next 6 months to a year with the recovery being even further out than that.

What does this mean for Enchanted Homeschooling Mom? Let me take a few minutes to explain that. My site will still remain as it is today and will be live and accessible at any point and time. The only thing that will change is that there will no longer be any contributors, I will no longer have any assistants, and rather than posting 2-4 times a day 6-7 days a week I will only be posting a handful of days each week myself or sometimes less, with it all depending on my health and how I am feeling.

With this in mind, here is how I foresee my new health situation effecting the various parts that make up Enchanting Homeschooling Mom…

My members only website will remain live, useable, and will still have new printables uploaded as I create them for my children to use in our homeschool journey. My printable creations give me happiness and I will continue to house and add to them for current and future members.

Since we are still homeschooling and creating educational printables is a passion of mine, as well as being one of my creative outlets, I will still be sharing printables. They may come in waves or be spread over weeks but I know that to put down what I consider my creative virtual craft would just make me awfully sad. Plus, creating learning material for my kids helps to cut down on the overall costs of educating our children at home. So, there will continue to be both free and paid printables rolling out here from me.

Poppins Book Nook

As many of you are aware that are reading this article, I am very passionate about instilling a love of reading and making reading just plain old fun for children. My free virtual book club for kids will still be up and running like normal.

Monthly Meal Planner

I still plan to create and share my monthly meal planners as I can for the sole purpose that it not only saves my family money, which we will need to do now more so than ever, but it will also make things run more smoothly in my home when I cannot be home or am not functioning at full speed and family and friends are lending a hand. Knowing that my husband will only have to shop once a month and anyone can come into my home and know exactly what to whip together puts my mama and wife mind to ease, as silly as that may sound.

Articles and Blog Posts

I will still share articles about our homeschooling journey, crafts, storybook activities, reviews, and more. I am not completely sure at this crossroads if my medical journey will enter into my articles or not down the road. Right now, if I am being completely honest with you as you read this, I am a mixed up bag of emotions of being scared and sad.

For me, I have put my blood, sweat, tears, hopes, dreams, and created a full time income from this site for my family that has allowed us to be able to sustain our homeschooling to date, as well as pay for half of our monthly bills. My family will naturally have to get creative as my medical bills rise and my time here on Enchanted Homeschooling Mom decreases and comes and goes in waves. However; this site and company is my creative outlet and I do want to have a sense of normalcy whenever possible, I just cannot expect to homeschool two children full time, go through this new medical journey, and work full time.

Social Media

Since my time will be coming in fits and spurts while we deal with my health, I do not feel that I will be able to continue connecting with everyone through social media. I have truly enjoyed meeting readers, interacting with people, and getting to know so many of you, but with my limited time I will need to refocus my efforts into my site and printables instead of my social media.

How can you help me?

If you enjoy reading my site, using a recipe, doing an activity with your child, or using my printables and want to show your support to keep me chugging along just simply sharing an article that I write with a friend, pinning a recipe, if you are a blogger and want to link back to an activity that you love, leave a comment, shoot me an email by using the ‘Contact Me’ link found at the top and bottom of my site, basically just help me to keep the word out there in cyberspace about both old and new content.

If you chose to no longer follow along with Enchanted Homeschooling Mom because I will not be posting as frequently, have such a wide variety of topics covered, etc. I completely understand. I do not know at this point and time what the future holds for Enchanted Homeschooling Mom, but what I do know is that right now I need to focus on my health, family, and educating my children.

Thank You!!!

Thank you all again for all of the support of my site. Without all of you reading my site and sharing my articles or purchasing memberships my site and business would never have grown into what it is today. At the very least I know that I have shown my children that you can have a dream and passion and create it from scratch and with hard work, dedication, and lots of creativity you will succeed at your dream.

I sincerely hope that in a year or two, which is my currently projected game plan to be back to normal should the surgeries and procedures yield positive results, that I will be able to come back feeling better than hopefully ever and be able to once again have the privilege of sharing the magic that can be found in educating my children, and also helping you make your educational journeys magical again.
