DIY Boys Cyborg Craft
Who is your favorite Teen Titan? Is your favorite Teen Titan Cyborg? I know that he is Beck’s favorite Teen Titan. When we were watching these fun episodes Beck and Elizabeth started acting out a few of the scenes. It then dawned on me, why not make a fun DIY craft to turn any young child into Cyborg? A lot of times art and craft projects are not a lot of fun for him, but this was the perfect opportunity to add a fun boy’s craft to our arts and craft time.
To make you very own DIY Boys Cyborg Craft you will need the following supplies:
- Grey Felt
- Craft Scissors
- Safety Pins
- Craft Glue
- Red Cellophane
- Puffy Paint (red, blue)
Start by sizing your child’s head and making a strip of grey felt as a band. I used safety pins to get the right size and fit of Beck’s head. He also though it would be neat to use a few different strips to make the band to mimic the real Cyborg’s patchwork of mechanical parts. Then I used a larger piece to make Cyborg’s eye patch. Measure your child’s head and facial area to make sure that they can see through a single eye hole and carefully cut the eye hole out. Then, once it is all sized correctly, carefully sew all the parts together using the thread and needle. I was able to remove the safety pins as I went.
Once everything is sewed up, use craft glue to attach a piece of red cellophane over the hole to mimic Cyborg’s red eye. Then, finish it off by adding a ring of red puffy paint and blue puffy paint to the Cyborg eye to make it look just like your favorite Teen Titan! Once it is all done you are ready to dress up like Cyborg and save the world, or at least Jump City.
