Learning the states and their capitals is not something that is easy for every child. I have a FREE weekly state study printable series that we are using in our homeschool to help engage my kids in learning about the 50 states. However, to make it easier for my children to learn their states and capitals, I figured why not make it a fun hands-on game? This interactive game is a great way to make it fun for children of any age. 

Quick Homeschooling Tip Fun with States and Capitals

To make things fun for my children I sometimes find ways to include games and more in their learning. This game is no different and is fun for everyone. To set this game up, take a beach ball and write all of the capitals of the 50 US States. I find some of the best beach balls at my local dollar store that I use for school lessons such as this. Then, to play, simply toss the ball at your children or have them pass it around. When someone catches the ball they look at that their hands and any capitals they are touching they must name the matching states. Each correct answer gets the holder 1 point. At the end of the game, the player with the most points win. Here is how my States and Capitals ball looks:
