One my all-time favorite Halloween movies has to be the Disney film Hocus Pocus. The overall fun and excitement that Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy bring to the storyline throughout the movie just makes it so much fun to watch several times a year during the month of October. This year I put together this mini unit of literacy and viewing lessons that were inspired by this film. I plan to use this pack on Halloween day to help make the day fun for Beck and Elizabeth but still be able to have some educational learning happening throughout the day at the same time.
Included in this movie study are the following educational components:
Language arts: adjectives, verbs, word and letter recognition, creative writing.
Literature: character analysis, plot analysis.
Art: creative drawing, illustrations.
Viewing Activities: movie review.
